Ramiro was a master of the Berimbau and a true innovator.

I'm working with Roberto Torres on getting a CD produced of candomblé drumming by Ramiro Musotto and Gabi Guedes. It's a project of Gabi's meant to create a record of these rhythms properly played, and preserved, given that they are being adopted and adulterated for popular music -- which is okay -- but then being learned wrong by up and coming percussionists.

As far as I know it's Ramiro's last work.

The YouTube clip from that site is an amazingly beautiful example of his work, Louie !

(I started to play it at home, and the room turned into my own private Bale Folclorico dance demonstration in accompanyment, courtesy of one Bahiano with saudades. :-)
