Reply with quote | #1 | Hi, I would like to share with you the magic of Celso Machado, the guy I have seen in concert last Saturday. Any way of publishing a MP3 file? In the meantime, here is a youtube clip. Sound and camera are bad but you can get a glimpse at his genius. There are other clips from him too. There is a lot of Baden Powell and more so Egberto Gismonti in him (Danças das Cebezas). He plays with his mouth, fingers, parts of his body, mikes and mike stands + all the myriad of small Brazilian jungle instruments. A kind of Brazilian Bobby McFerrin. He has a classical training and plays also beautifully music from Peru or Afrika, with native instruments. BTW, Os Mutantes was in Montreal last week!

Reply with quote | #3 | Jako, as to your question of 'can we share music on this forum?' I think that is ONE of the things this forum is all about. ;-) Peace, jazztech __________________ Embrace our similarities, celebrate and learn from our differences. Peace |

Reply with quote | #5 | I'm setting up a new site which has a forum which will allow the uploading of mp3s. It'll be ready in a few days. It's in Portuguese (I may do an English language version as well), but one will be able to write in any language on it.
The site is kind of a Facebook/Myspace Music for Brazilian musicians and fans of Brazilian music. When it's ready I'll post here! |
